Prizes are awarded on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis in two categories: correctness and participation.

Weekly correctness: To qualify, you must have played at least four days in the week and your percentage of correctness must be at least as high as the #1 ranked player that week, or at least 95% (whichever is lower). The winner is then picked randomly from all qualified players and wins a US$25 Amazon.com gift card.

Monthly correctness: To qualify, you must have played at least sixteen (16) days in the month and your percentage of correctness must be at least as high as the #1 ranked player that month, or at least 95% (whichever is lower). The winner is then picked randomly from all qualified players and wins a US$50 Amazon.com gift card.

Participation: For every day you played that week or month, you are entered into a random drawing to win a participation prize. In other words, the more you play, the higher the chance you have of winning a prize of an O'Reilly Media ebook.

Each quarter, we hold a championship playoff. For more details on the playoff process, please see the FAQ item on that topic. Everyone ranking in the top ten receives a prize, ranging from a US$250 Amazon.com gift card to an O'Reilly Media ebook. At the end of each quiz day, if there was a mistake reported (and confirmed) for that quiz, then a prize of an O'Reilly ebook will be awarded randomly to one of the players who reported that mistake before the quiz closed.
